ANALYSIS OF SEQUENCE DURATION

NARRATIVE RESULTS

Two-way mixed ANOVA analysis showed overall significant differences in the number of actions per sequence from day 7, 18 and 19 of training (F(2,26) = 20.643, p < 0.001). However,
there was also a day x group interaction (F(2,26) = 6.256, p < 0.01), indicating that these differences were due to a difference in performance between groups on day 19. Simple effects
analysis (separate one-way RM ANOVA, days 18 vs. 19) confirmed that the latency of action sequences dropped significantly from day 18 to day 19 in Group Lost (F(1,8) = 21.432, p < 0.01),
whereas it remained constant in Group Maintained (F(1,5) = 0.996, p = 0.364).
